Our
Mission:
|
|
* |
| We, the members of Street Samaritans and Gospel
Ministry of Raleigh, North Carolina, believe that, through our
faith, we have been called to stand up and fight this battle
of spiritual warfare and to save the next unborn child until
this abortion holocaust ends. We arm ourselves with the truths
of God's sacred words, scientific facts and with the moral guidance
of our church. As disciples of Jesus Christ our mission is: |
| . |
- To protect the
innocent human life in the womb from a brutal, inhumane death
and the mother from being scarred in mind, soul and body. To
be the voice pleading for the unborn child whose cries cannot
be heard. This is crisis intervention where the intended result
of all those arriving at the abortion mill is the death of a
child. It is the last chance for those helpless little ones who
otherwise will die at the hands of the abortionist.
- To proclaim
the gospel of life message of Jesus Christ into the streets,
bringing truths of life and His Word to the souls of mothers,
fathers and all those assisting, supporting, scandalizing others,
or otherwise remaining silent in the shedding of innocent blood
which God hates. We do not wait to be invited to proclaim His
Word but respond to the command of the Lord "to preach to
all nations." We dare to speak these truths with love in
confronting today's culture and our fervent prayer is that they
hear not just words but that His truth reaches their hearts now
and into the future. (1 Cor. 3:5-9)
- To share our
time and energy acting as patient advocates for the mom's in
need and to further assist the "Mother and Child" by
helping to coordinate all available sources of relief from charitable
and government agencies.
- To always remember
His helpless little ones in the womb whose lives are threatened
by abortion. To exercise our First Amendment rights in their
defense and to never rest or become weary until the victory is
won. We strive to always serve as the expression of a loving
and caring God to those we encounter on the streets and sidewalks
in our missionary endeavors.
Strengthened and guided by the Holy Spirit, as "Warrior
Souls" we are dedicated to the victory of life to the point
of being willing to lay down our lives for our brothers (1
Jn 3:16). We do this in loving unity with other pro-life
ministries and with all persons of Christian faith.
|
| . |
| We shall overcome! Please join with us to speak
out as a strong prophetic witness that confronts sin while serving
as a voice for the unborn child and its mother. As disciples
of Christ we are all called to be "Watchmen" (Ezek
3: 16-18) even when faced with persecution for righteousness
sake. "The lay faithful are given the ability and responsibility
to accept the Gospel in faith and to proclaim it in word and
deed, without hesitating to courageously identify and denounce
evil." Pope John Paul II, in Christifideles Laici. |
